Celta now knows its first opponent in this year’s Copa del Rey. At noon today, the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) held the draw for the first round of the competition at the Ciudad Deportiva de Las Rozas, and luck determined that the Sky Blues will face Puerto de Vega at the end of this month in El Campón.
The Asturian team qualified last Friday to play in the Copa del Rey after beating Alberite by an aggregate score (home and away) of 5-1.
This first round will be an exciting match for the Asturian team, but also for Claudio Giráldez’s side, who will kick off the third of the competitions they are participating in this year on October 28, 29, or 30.
