RC Celta adds a new fixture to its preparation calendar for the 2025/26 season. The team led by Claudio Giráldez now knows its final friendly of the summer: a match against Clube Desportivo Nacional de Madeira, scheduled for Tuesday, July 22 at 12:00 p.m. (local time), behind closed doors, at the Cidade Deportiva Afouteza.
Nacional de Madeira, a historic club in Portuguese football, currently competes in the Primeira Liga. Throughout its history, the club has won notable titles including two Segunda Liga Championships (19/20 and 2017/18), one Campeonato Nacional da 2ª Divisão B – Zona Sul (99/00), six Taças da Madeira, and eight Campeonato da Madeira titles. In addition, they have made five appearances in the UEFA Cup (04/05, 06/07, 09/10, 11/12, and 14/15), establishing themselves as a consistently competitive side.
This match will serve as the final test before the official start of the season and joins the list of confirmed friendlies against Wolverhampton, SC Braga, VfB Stuttgart, Grasshopper, Vitória SC and FC Famalicão.
