RC Celta and Athletic Club drew 1-1 on Sunday in San Mamés in a match that could have been won by either team. Rafinha put the sky-blue team ahead in the second half and Raul Garcia scored the draw.
The first half was full of scoring chances. First it was Athletic who enjoyed several dangerous finishes that were effectively handled by Ruben and the defenders. The sky-blue team settled on the pitch as minutes went by and could take the lead before the break through Santi Mina.
The second half began with the same breathtaking pace. It was Oscar Garcia’s team which took the lead thanks to a sensational shot by Rafinha. The locals tied with fifteen minutes to go when Raul Garcia converted a penalty.
