RC Celta tied against Rayo Vallecano (2-2) in the last match of LaLiga. The sky blue team managed to counterbalance the two goals of advantage that the Vallecanos obtained in a match that sealed the continuity of another year in the First Division.
The first half was equal. Both teams looked for the opponent’s goal and it was the Madrileños who took the lead after a penalty after 30 minutes. Fran Escribá’s men poured on the rival goal and had several clear chances that they could not convert.
In the second half the RC Celta carried the weight of the match and its actions were the most dangerous, but the lack of accuracy and bad luck prevented the sky-blue to equal the match. Medran put the game at 0-2 in the 72nd minute and in the final stretch Iago Aspas, again Zarra Trophy, equalized the match with two goals.
