RC Celta lost to Leganés (3-2) on Sunday in a match in which the locals put one more march from the opening whistle. Oscar Garcia’s team improved in the second half but the difference in the scoreboard was too big.
In the first half the local team imposed its rhythm and its were the main chances. Oscar Rodriguez scored two beautiful goals that put the match very much in favor of the Madrileños. The sky blue players tried to counterattack, although they lacked efficiency in the opposite field.
After the break, the dominance was alternate. First it was Leganes who increased their advantage thanks to a good goal from Kevin Rodriguez. Shortly after Araujo reduced the difference in a rehearsed move and when the players from Vigo were better, the referee expelled Toro Fernández for an alleged foul. In the final stretch Iago Aspas scored the final 3-2 after a sensational individual play.
