RC Celta goalkeeper Rubén Blanco underwent surgery this morning at Vigo’s Fremap Hospital by the club’s head of medical services, Juan José García Cota, who said it was an uncomplicated surgery in which the complete tearing of the femoral rectus tendon was confirmed. He indicated that during the operation the tendon was reinserted into the bone in its anatomical position and growth factors were also put in place.
Garcia Cota explained that Ruben will remain in the hospital for 24 hours and in a few days will begin the recovery process, which will be completed within four to five months.
