Celta and Hellas Verona have reached an agreement for the loan with option to buy defender Unai Núñez, who will play the 2025/26 season in Italy.
The centre-back from Bizkaia arrived at Celta in the summer of 2022 and, for two seasons, he defended the sky-blue shield with professionalism and dedication. In that period he accumulated nearly 6,500 minutes in 76 official matches between LaLiga and the Copa del Rey. Last season he played on loan at Athletic Club, where he put in an outstanding performance.
Since his arrival in Vigo, Unai Núñez has always shown an exemplary attitude, both in the dressing room and on a day-to-day basis. That is why the club would like to wish him every success in this new stage in Serie A.
