Celta and Asante Kotoko SC reached an agreement for the definitive transfer of two rights of player, Bernard Somuah. The Ghanaian attacker will continue to be linked to the sky-blue entity until the end of 2030.
Somuah will go to Vigo in August 2024 and, after a first stage in Youth A, he will jump this season to Celta Fortuna. His debut in the Primera RFEF took place on the opening day against Zamora CF and, since then, he consolidated himself as a regular resource in Fredi Álvarez’s scheme.
With more than 800 minutes accumulated in the category, Bernard scored 5 goals with increasing speed, overflow and determination not one against one. His performances were decisive in key moments of the season, such as the historic comeback against Talavera in Barreiro, where he scored so much that he turned the scoreboard.
His performance is part of the outstanding campaign that is underway for the sky-blue youth team, currently second in the standings with a baggage of 48 points.
At only 19 years old, Celta ensures the continuity of a footballer with enormous prospects who will continue to develop his talent with the celestial shield no less.
