Celta has reached an agreement with Valencia CF for the transfer of Hugo González, who joins Celta Fortuna permanently after playing on loan since last January. The forward signs a three-year deal, until June 2028.
Hugo arrived in Vigo in the last winter transfer window from FC Cartagena, in LALIGA HYPERMOTION, and from day one, he has demonstrated a high level of commitment, quality, and offensive ability that have earned him a place in the team coached by Fredi Álvarez.
In just 13 matches played for Celta, the Valencian winger scored 5 goals and provided 3 assists, becoming one of the team’s most important players during the final stretch of the season.
Developed in the Valencia CF youth academy, Hugo González accumulated 71 matches, 16 goals, and 3 assists with the Valencia reserve team. He also made his first-team debut in La Liga, making a total of 10 appearances and providing an assist against Real Madrid.
With his permanent signing, Celta strengthens the Celta Fortuna project with a fast, physical, and explosive player whose qualities fit perfectly with the sky-blue team’s style of play.
Welcome, Hugo!
