With the participation of more than 2,500 players from various states across Mexico, as well as an invited team from the Dominican Republic, the Celta Cup 2026 was inaugurated this week at the Campeche Country Club. Now in its eighth edition, this tournament continues to solidify its position as one of the most important and traditional sporting competitions in southeastern Mexico.
The opening ceremony was led by the Secretary of Welfare, Esteban Hinojosa Rebolledo, who reaffirmed his commitment to promoting Campeche as an ideal destination for sports and high-level events.
The Celta Cup is a tournament founded by the Celta organization at its training academies throughout Mexico and has become a well-established international benchmark.
