Celta Vigo’s first team will pass part of their 2026/27 preseason training camp in Italy. From Wednesday, August 5th to Sunday, August 9th, the squad managed by Claudio Giráldez will hold a training camp in Sassuolo, at top-level facilities that will provide the team with the ideal environment to continue their preparations.

These four days of intense work will allow the squad to further solidify their technical and tactical understanding, as well as strengthen team cohesion and unity at a crucial time to lay the foundations for a demanding and exciting season, in which Celta will once again compete in the UEFA Europa League.

During their stay in Italy, the sky-blue team will play two highly demanding matches that will serve as an excellent test to gauge the team’s progress. The first match will be on Wednesday, August 5th, at 8:00 PM, against US Sassuolo at the Ricci Stadium, a historic Italian club embarking on a new Serie A season. The second match will be on Saturday, August 8th, at 9:00 PM, against SSC Napoli at the Teofilo Patini Stadium in Castel di Sangro, a top-tier European opponent that will once again test the team’s progress. After completing their summer commitments in Italy, the team will return to Vigo on Sunday morning.

This training camp in Italy will constitute the second phase of their summer preparations before the start of the new season, which is scheduled to begin in mid-August. With this, Celta continues to shape a preseason designed to ensure they are in peak condition for the official start of the campaign. So far, these are the confirmed matches:

• Sporting Braga – Celta (Braga Municipal Stadium) July 18 at 8:30 p.m. (Spanish time)

• Celta – Sporting Gijón (A Lomba Stadium, Vilagarcía de Arousa) July 25 at 7:00 p.m.
