Izan Server, goalkeeper for Celta Fortuna, has been called up to the Canadian U-20 national team for the 2026 Concacaf Championship finals, which will be held from July 24 to August 9 in Puebla and Mexico City.
Canada is making its 26th appearance in the tournament, aiming to win its third regional title, its first since 1996. The North American team will also be looking to secure its place in the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup, which it hopes to qualify for the ninth time. The champion will also qualify for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games, joining the United States as the confederation’s representative.
This call-up is further recognition of Izan Server’s hard work and progress. He continues to develop at Madroa after extending his contract with Celta Vigo, and will now have the opportunity to defend Canada’s goal in one of the most important competitions in international youth football.
