Celta attended the official LALIGA welcome ceremony on Tuesday at the league’s headquarters, an institutional event held to welcome the clubs that secured promotion to LALIGA EA SPORTS and LALIGA HYPERMOTION at the end of the 2025/26 season.
Celta Fortuna, who will compete in LALIGA HYPERMOTION this season, was represented by Carlos Cao, Celta’s Director of Institutional Relations. The event, presided over by Javier Tebas, served to officially welcome the clubs joining Spanish professional football and to recognize the achievements and hard work that earned them promotion during the previous campaign.
During his speech, Javier Tebas congratulated the promoted clubs, highlighting the commitment and dedication shown by players, coaching staffs, employees and supporters throughout the season. He also emphasized the responsibility that comes with being part of professional football, stressing the importance of sustainability, respect for the competition’s values, the fight against violence, the protection of audiovisual rights against piracy, and every club’s contribution to strengthening LALIGA as a shared project.
“You are not here because we invited you; you are here because you earned it. Welcome to your new division,” said the LALIGA President during the welcome ceremony.
