Celta Fortuna struggled against a CD Castellón side expected to fight for promotion, but once again demonstrated their rapid adaptation to the Second Division. The first half was difficult for the reserve team, overwhelmed by the pressure, pace, and greater physicality of an opponent who went into halftime with a lead.
After the break, Fredi Álvarez’s team stepped up their game. More aggressive and direct, they began to find space and create chances. The 0-2 deficit didn’t stop their reaction, and Óscar Marcos pulled one back after a magnificent assist from Hugo Cuenca.
At 1-2, Celta Fortuna believed in a comeback. Bernard Somuah hit the crossbar, and Ángel Davila, on his debut, also came close to equalizing. This time, their heroics weren’t rewarded, but the team fought until the final whistle.
