Celta has renewed its collaboration agreement with ED Xuventude Oroso for a further five seasons, extending their grassroots football partnership until 2031 and strengthening a close relationship built on more than a decade of working together to support Galician talent.
The results of this partnership have been evident in the club’s academy for years, with players from Sigüeiro playing a prominent role. David Sueiro was the first to follow this path, joining Celta’s youth ranks from the Oroso academy. Today, Darío Martínez and Mauro Ávila are continuing that legacy, both wearing the Celta shirt and developing their potential within the club’s youth setup.
Beyond these players, who are now established members of the club’s squads, the partnership remains active through other initiatives. Every week, players from ED Xuventude Oroso travel to Celta’s training facilities to take part in training sessions, an ongoing practice that enriches their development and fosters close collaboration between the coaching staff of both clubs.
Celta is proud to nurture local talent through long-term partnerships with fellow clubs that share its values and the same philosophy of work.
