The captain of As Celtas is once again available to compete, having overcome a serious knee injury that kept her out since March 2025. Lara Martínez has been medically cleared to return after 586 days out, bringing an end to a long recovery process that began when she tore the anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee during a league match against Sárdoma CF.
The midfielder from Vigo had already been gradually reintegrating into the team’s training routine; with this medical clearance, she can now fully resume all activities alongside her teammates. Her return is excellent news for As Celtas, as they regain a key player and gain new options to strengthen their midfield, both in terms of playmaking and overall competitiveness.
Nineteen months later, a particularly difficult chapter for Lara has come to a close; after a great deal of effort and sacrifice, she can finally return to enjoying her time on the pitch.
