Spanish football decided that the best tribute was to stand united on the pitch; both teams took to the field wearing the shirt of the late player and laid a floral tribute, followed by a profound minute of silence.
Against this backdrop, Celta Fortuna faced another highly demanding away fixture, returning to El Plantío, a venue that, five years later, has become a true fortress for Burgos. Fredi Álvarez’s side arrived hampered by numerous absences, yet they remained determined to compete and showcase their character. And they did just that, particularly in a first half where they appeared solid, courageous, and, at times, capable of putting the home side under pressure.
Their hard work was rewarded once again, this time through Álvaro Marín.
