Talent and experience join the As Celtas project for this exciting season in Second Federation. Paula Jimena Vior, 26 year old defender, joins the team coached by Vicky Vázquez with the aim of bringing solidity and versatility to the defensive line.
A native of Oviedo, Paula has an extensive sporting career, being able to perform with solvency both as a central defender and at full-back. Her career started when she was only 5 years old in Astur CF, where she took her first steps, and later she played for Juventud Estadio and Oviedo Moderno. Her talent did not go unnoticed, being called up at that time by the U-16 Spanish National Team.
Having become an international, she signed for Sporting Gijón and then, moved to the Canary Islands to play for Real Unión de Tenerife, where she shared a dressing room with her now teammate in As Celtas, Lara Martínez. On her return to the peninsula, her most recent spell was with Atlético Villalonga, where she spent three seasons before joining As Celtas.
With this incorporation, As Celtas takes a step forward in its objective to form a competitive block to face the next season that will begin in just a few days.
Benvida, Paula!
