Carlos Carvalhal will be the coach of RC Celta until June 2024 after the agreement reached with the club in the last hours. The Portuguese coach arrives to the sky blue team backed by a wide experience, marked with notable successes.
He left an indelible mark at Sporting Braga, with whom he won the Portuguese Cup and qualified for several European competitions, including a semi-final. In his extensive coaching career, the now sky blue coach accumulated experience in the Turkish, Greek and English leagues, where he enjoyed Premier League football with Swansea City.
Among the teams he managed throughout his long career are Leixões, Vitoria Setúbal, Belenenses, Sporting de Braga, Beira Mar, Asteras Trípolis, Club Sport Marítimo, Sporting Clube de Portugal, Beşiktaş, Sheffield Wednesday, Swansea, Rio Ave and lastly Al Wahda, in Saudi Arabia.
Carlos Carvalhal will immediately join the team’s training sessions.
