The Cidade Deportiva Afouteza had an emotional premiere this afternoon. For the first time, it was the scene of the act of imposition of the Club’s Gold Badges to the season ticket holders with 50 years of seniority, an event always full of emotion and feeling, undoubtedly, the most valuable of those that RC Celta lives every year.
A total of 79 season ticket holders received the Club’s Gold Badge from the President, Carlos Mouriño, who thanked them for their loyalty and the celtismo they have passionately exhibited for so many decades.
“We have suffered and we have also had a good time, but this cannot be the end of anything but the beginning of everything. Celta is going to be 100 years old and we need it to continue for many more and for that we need your experience, your passion and this feeling that you have shown to get here,” said the sky blue president.
He stressed that “everything we have done would not have been possible without you, without those 50 years. You are very important to us. Those of us of our age are the great past of Celta, but also those of you who have to support the future”.
The event began with the interpretation of the RC Celta anthem by the voice and piano duo Calau. After the emotional speech of the president and the delivery of diplomas and badges, the subscribers and their companions took a guided tour of the Cidade Deportiva Afouteza.
