Celta have signed Aleix Febas as their first signing of this transfer window, making him a Celta player until June 2029.
The Catalan midfielder arrives in Vigo after an outstanding spell at Elche CF, where he established himself as one of the key players in Eder Sarabia’s side. His performances were key to Elche’s recent survival in the top flight, as he proved an indispensable figure in midfield thanks to his ability to organise play, win back possession and bring balance to the team.
Having come through the ranks at Real Madrid, Febas continued to develop as a player at clubs such as Zaragoza, Albacete, Mallorca and Málaga before joining Elche in the 2023/24 season. There he found regular first-team action and showed his best form, becoming one of LaLiga’s most reliable and competitive midfielders.
At 30, Aleix stands out for his tactical intelligence, passing accuracy and vision. A profile that fits perfectly into Claudio Giráldez’s plans and will strengthen the Celta midfield in what promises to be a demanding season, with the team returning to three competitions.
On his arrival, the player will be reunited with Sergio Carreira, Álvaro Núñez and Borja Iglesias, with whom he will once again share the dressing room in this new chapter as a Celta player.
Celta welcomes Aleix Febas and wishes him every success in this new adventure.
Welcome, Aleix!
