Celta is beginning to outline the team’s roadmap for this preseason. Claudio Giráldez’s squad will face SC Braga on July 18 at the Braga Municipal Stadium, and a week later, on July 25—Galicia’s National Day—they will take on Sporting de Gijón at A Lomba in Vilagarcía de Arousa.
The first test of the summer will take the Celta squad to Portugal to face one of the most established clubs in Portuguese soccer. SC Braga, a regular participant in European competitions, will provide a demanding test to kick off the summer schedule.
The second match will hold special significance as it coincides with Galicia Day. Celta will play a match at A Lomba against a true legend of Spanish soccer, Sporting de Gijón. This event will be an opportunity to reconnect with the Celta fans on Galician land.
The kickoff times for both matches will be announced shortly. These games will kick off the first team’s preseason schedule with the goal of preparing as thoroughly as possible for a new and exciting season.
