RC Celta

RC Celta has five games left to finish the season and the goal could not be other than to get the 15 points that are still at stake. The first three points they will try to get this Friday against Levante at Abanca Balaídos, a stadium that just three days ago witnessed the sky-blue team’s victory against Osasuna.

With 41 points in the standings, the team coached by Eduardo Coudet aspires, firstly, to certify mathematically its permanence in the First Division, which would allow it to play next year its tenth consecutive season in the highest category of Spanish soccer. On the other hand, the team also aims to beat a direct rival in the league standings in order to continue climbing up the table.

RC Celta comes into the match after beating Osasuna last Sunday with goals from Iago Aspas and Jeison Murillo. Hugo Mallo, who withdrew injured after a few minutes, has already started training with the rest of his teammates and the Argentinean coach has no suspended players.

Levante, who have lost three consecutive matches, will want to change their bad dynamic with a victory in Vigo’s stadium.
