Javi Rodríguez has been called up by Luis de la Fuente to join the group of support players that will work alongside the Spanish national team during preparations for the 2026 World Cup. The defender will be part of a list of nine footballers who will train with the national squad during the first days of the training camp.
The call-up is further recognition of the academy graduate’s growth and outstanding performances this season, having already established himself as one of the brightest young prospects at A Madroa. The player will now have the opportunity to work under the guidance of the senior national team coaching staff and share training sessions with some of the country’s top footballers, including his teammate Borja Iglesias.
With this call-up, the Celta player continues to take important steps forward in his development and adds another hugely valuable experience to his sporting career.
Congratulations, Javi, and best of luck!
