RC Celta lost in ABANCA Balaídos to Levante UD (1-4) in a match in which the Valencia team had much more effectiveness in the opponent’s area. Miguel Cardoso’s team scored a penalty thanks to a good penalty-kick by Brais Mendez.
The match started with a RC Celta taking possession of the ball and looking for the opposite goal. However, it was Levante UD who took the lead in the 20th minute with a goal by Morales. Boufal and Hugo Mallo had clear chances that the visiting goalkeeper blocked and Coke, after a corner, put the 0-2 before half-time.
The second half began with the ejection of Boudebouz after committing a foul on a Levante player. Within 60 minutes of the match, Morales further increased the away advantage with a third goal. In the final stretch Brais Mendez and Mayoral put the final 1-4.
