FC Utrecht have informed RC Celta that they are exercising their option to buy striker Miguel Rodríguez. An operation in which the club from Vigo keeps 50% of the player’s rights.
With more than 5,000 minutes defending the Celta shield, both in the first team and in the different categories of the youth team, Miguel has always stood out for his power and his ability to score goals. Since he first crossed the gates of A Madroa at just 10 years old, the young player from Redonda became one of the most outstanding players at the club, becoming an international with the Spanish national team and making his debut with the first team of RC Celta in October 2020, when he had barely played a single minute with the sky blue youth team. Since last summer, Miguel Rodríguez played on loan at FC Utrecht in the Eredivisie, with whom he now begins a new stage in the Netherlands.
RC Celta wants to thank the youth player for all his effort, commitment and exemplary behaviour throughout all these years in which we have grown together and wish him good luck and success in his sporting future.
