Team victory against RCD Espanyol (1-3)

RC Celta

Great victory for RC Celta in their visit to the RCDE Stadium in Barcelona, bringing the sky blue team closer to the positions nearest to Europe.

The first half would end with a Celta advantage, starting with a great goal from Gabri Veiga past the midway point of the first half, followed by Iago Aspas who would capitalize on the penalty suffered by Carles Pérez to extend the lead to two goals. A great first half for the sky blues would be followed by a second half that saw another Celta goal, this time with Carles Pérez’s debut goal in LaLiga. Gragera would cut the lead for the home team with four minutes remaining, but it would not be enough for his team to catch up to RC Celta.

RC Celta goes to bed tonight in tenth position with 34 points, 2 points away from European spots. After the international break, it will be UD Almería who visits Abanca Balaídos for matchday 30.
