Last test for RC Celta before the start of LaLiga and… What a test!
The sky blues faced Wolverhampthon at Molineux Stadium, days before starting the official season against Atlético at Abanca Balaídos.
After a hard-fought first half, with a huge intensity and a high tempo, the sky blues managed, deservedly, to take the lead with a goal by Iago Aspas from a penalty on Santi Mina. The Celticos played great soccer and clearly outplayed the home side, who were too harsh on many occasions.
The second half began with greater English dominance. Wolves enjoyed clear chances, including a shot against the post. In the face of the home side’s push, Celta stood firm, knew how to suffer and finally managed to hold on for the win.
It was a valuable pre-season test, as the English team was very demanding and forced RC Celta to use all their qualities to get the victory.
