Celta has agreed to extend Ángel Davila’s contract through 2030 and he will join Celta Fortuna, marking another step in the club’s commitment to A Canteira, the acceleration of development processes, and the nurturing of our young players from their earliest formative stages through to professional soccer.
A native of Vila do Corpus (Ponteareas), Ángel Davila arrived at A Madroa at the benjamín level and, since then, has progressed through every youth category to become one of the top offensive players on the Juvenil A team. At just 19 years old, he has already scored more than 80 goals in the sky-blue shirt, 15 of them this season, confirming his exceptional goal-scoring instinct. It has been a standout campaign in which he also helped the Juvenil A team win the División de Honor title, while reaching the semifinals of the Copa del Rey and the quarterfinals of the Copa de Campeones.
A physical forward with excellent finishing and great decision-making in the final third, Ángel Davila perfectly embodies the values of a youth academy that continues to develop talent and will now see him continue his progression in LaLiga Hypermotion.
