Celta and Mos Town Council took another step today towards making the expansion of the road connecting the Celta360 area, the Galician Sports Factory, with the Cela area a reality. Celta president Marián Mouriño and Mayor of Mos Nidia Arévalo signed the agreement at Town Hall, establishing collaboration between both parties to promote the project.
The agreement will allow progress to be made on drafting the project and securing the land required to carry out the improvements to the road along Camiño do Monte do Coto. The works will help improve the connection between Celta360 and Cela, as well as traffic conditions in the area.
Under the agreement, Celta will be responsible for drafting the project to improve the local road network and submitting it to Mos Town Council for the corresponding processing and approval. The club will also pay Mos Town Council €635,934, corresponding to the monetisation of the 10% of the development rights allocated to the municipal administration within the Celta360 area.
This amount will be incorporated into the Municipal Land Fund and allocated by the Town Council to the road works provided for in the agreement.
For its part, Mos Town Council will undertake the necessary procedures to ensure the availability of the land and will be responsible for contracting and carrying out any works that fall outside the scope of the Regional Interest Project. Once the works have been completed, the maintenance and upkeep of the road will likewise be the responsibility of the Town Council.
The signing of this agreement allows the necessary procedure to move forward to secure the land required for the expansion of the road, in accordance with the terms agreed with the affected landowners. The project will improve the road connection between Celta360 and Cela and will also enhance access and traffic conditions for local residents.
A New Step in the Development of Celta360
The collaboration between Celta and Mos Town Council represents a further step forward in the development of the infrastructure linked to Celta360 and in improving its connection with the surrounding area.
The agreement also provides for the creation of a monitoring committee made up of two representatives from Mos Town Council and two from Celta, which will oversee compliance with the commitments undertaken by both parties.
The agreement will initially remain in force for four years, with the possibility of annual extensions for a maximum of a further four years.
