Next Monday, June 8 at 5:00 p.m., the Salón Regio at A Sede (Vigo) will host an event organized by LALIGA and the General Council of Economists of Spain (CGEE) to present Celta with the Seal of Recognition for Transparency and Non-Financial Reporting. This distinction positions the Vigo-based club as one of the leading sports organizations in Spain in this field.
Under the title “The Club’s Invisible Value: Sustainability, Transparency and the Future at Celta”, the event will feature a roundtable discussion with Javier Tebas, President of LALIGA; Marián Mouriño, President of Celta; and Miguel Vázquez Taín, President of the General Council of Economists of Spain. The discussion will be preceded by remarks from María Jesús Lorenzana, Regional Minister for Economy and Industry of the Government of Galicia.
The event will also include the participation of David Baixauli, Head of Sustainability at LALIGA, who will address the integration of sustainability into the business and sporting strategies of professional clubs, as well as the main challenges and opportunities currently facing the sector in this area.
During the event, participants will examine the current brand value of Spanish football clubs and discuss issues related to transparency, accountability, corporate sustainability, stakeholder trust, and the social impact of sports organizations, as well as the trends that will shape the future of management in professional football.
The business perspective is clear: Celta combines a significant asset base with a brand that is increasingly gaining recognition in the marketplace. The Vigo-based club is no longer valued solely for its balance sheet strength or sporting performance.
