RC Celta got their second win of the season against Granada. It was thanks to a goal by Denis Suárez, assisted by Santi Mina, in a truly heart-stopping finish.
A first half with sky blue dominance, but few chances. RC Celta was the one who built several offensive moves that planted it in the Nazarí area, but the ball did not end up ending between the posts. Granada’s best chance came from Soro after twenty-four minutes, but Dituro stepped up to block the shot with his body.
RC Celta went from strength to strength in the second half, intensifying their offensive attacks, more and more dangerous. In the 69th minute, Santi Mina was brought down in the opponent’s area and the referee did not hesitate: penalty in favor of RC Celta. Iago Aspas, a specialist, was in charge of taking the penalty, and against all odds the shot did not end up in the back of the net. Maximiano made a save to prevent the sky blue goal.
