Iago Aspas celebrated his 300th official match with RC Celta with a legendary performance. The player from Moaña returned to the field after three months injured and his return to the pitch could not have been more spectacular.
With a 2-0 at half-time, the Galician striker took the team on his back and, with the strength of his teammates and an incredible home crowd, led the way to the comeback. A direct free-kick goal, another from the penalty spot and an unforgettable match, full of tension and emotion, which ended with tears in the eyes of all Celta fans, also in those of the brilliant player: “I’ve suffered a lot in recent months without being able to help the team. We don’t deserve this kind of support. Four points away from permanence in first division, we got 0-2 at half-time playing for our lives and thanks to them we came back,” said Aspas after the match.
Iago Aspas, who already has 130 goals as a sky-blue, enhanced his legend with a new exhibition in his 300th match.
