Celta’s medical staff has evaluated Carl Starfelt following his return to Vigo, after the center back left the Swedish national team camp due to discomfort in the back of his right leg.
An MRI performed on the player—who was substituted in the 31st minute against Bosnia and Herzegovina—revealed a muscle fiber tear in the myotendinous junction of the semimembranosus muscle, affecting the proximal tendon of his right thigh.
Starfelt is now beginning the necessary treatment, which will last for the estimated 6 weeks of his recovery period.
