The team led by Rafa Benítez concludes its fifth and final preseason friendly with a victory, by three goals to zero, against SD Compostela in the VII edition of the Antonio Bermúdez Memorial.
The Vigo team played a first half with great control, which finally paid off when in the 30th minute, following a precise assist from Bamba, the captain, Iago Aspas, scored the first goal for the Celestes and opened the scoring.
After the break and eight changes in the Celestes’ lineup, RC Celta took to the field to play a second 45 minutes where changes in pace and intensity were the protagonists. Thus, the other two goals for Celta came from the boots of Larsen and Luca de la Torre.
In this way, RC Celta puts the finishing touch on its preseason with a very positive balance, emerging victorious in four of the five matches played.
Starting tomorrow, Benítez’s men will have their minds set on the league’s 2023/24 season kickoff, where the Celestes will make their debut at home, at Abanca Balaídos, against CA Osasuna on Sunday at 5:00 p.m.
