RC Celta has reached 6 million followers across all its social media platforms. This figure rewards the club’s internationalization strategy with consistent monthly growth, as verified by Blinkfire, the measurement platform used by LaLiga Santander.

This global expansion started during the last pre-season tour in the United States and Mexico and has continued throughout the current season.

Under the LaLiga Santander’s Impulso project, a delegation from RC Celta – led by its president Carlos Mouriño – reinforced this expansion plan with another visit in November to New York and Mexico City, tapping into markets of enormous potential and future like North America and Latin America.

The club also strengthened its Celta brand this season with a new international initiative in Egypt, where it could share new lines of work and growth with the former sky-blue striker, Mido.

Additionally, on each of these international trips, the Celta delegation visited various Celta supporter clubs and felt the love and support for the club’s global future throughout the world. A global line of work that has yielded results on social media.

TikTok has consolidated itself as the main source of followers, with over 3 million fans on this social network. Concurrently, Facebook marks another historic milestone by consolidating its growth surpassing one and a half million ‘siareiros’ (Celta fans).

The official Instagram account of the first team continues its monthly evolution with 400,000 users, while on Twitter, more than half a million sky-blue followers have gathered.

Meanwhile, on the official RC Celta YouTube channel, there are over 50,000 subscribers and more than 10 million views have already been surpassed.

Snapchat is the latest social network on which RC Celta has made its presence, becoming the first team from LaLiga to have its own optical lens within the platform, alongside Real Madrid and FC Barcelona.
